Here are some quick pointers to keep in mind during any application.

  • Start with clean, dry skin. Make sure the area you're planning to tape is free of oils, lotions, sweat, and excess hair.

  • Create anchor points by tearing the backing paper. This will ensure you don't touch the adhesive.

  • Cut a strip to the desired length. It's important to stretch the tape the right amount during you application.

  • Apply the kinesiology tape to the skin. Be sure to smooth out any wrinkles or creases.

  • Once the kinesiology tape is in place, gently rub your skin over top of the tape to help adhere it.
